The Hondurian Reunuion

After our brief meeting in Dunedin we had decided that we would change our plans and head back towards Queenstown to the small touristy town of Arrowtown to meet up with Janey our Kiwi friend we'd met in Honduras, 6 months ago! It was perfect timing as we were tired and grubby after our 2 days cycling and she was the perfect host putting us up in her house! After living out of a van for so long its great to be able to walk around indoors, have free reigns in a proper kitchen and be able to slob out in front of the TV!!! Thanks to Janey's great hospitality and the copious amount of free fruit from the heavily laden trees in the garden, we managed to make complete pigs of ourselves for over 3 days!! If we weren't in kitchen cooking endless fruit muffins, crumbles & jams then we were lounging on the sofa catching up on the complete Lord of the Rings Trilogy!!! The weather was gorgeous so we did get out occasionally to go for a quick hike up the surrounding hills to admire the views, or a wander around the Chinese settlement, or a quick game of rubgy in the garden!!! But basically we had a great time enjoying creature comforts and recharging our batteries, as well as enlarging our bellies!
Mmmm!! Homemade fish pie, you can't cook that on a camp stove! Not to mention Chris's Fruit Crumble for desert!!
