Columbia

We have been in Cartegena for the last three days and loving it!! Not sure why Columbia gets such bad press, this is possibly one of the nicest cities we've been to. Gorgeous Colonial architecture, friendly people and fantastic, extremely cheap food (we're now eating a 2 course meal for about 75p!!)!!!

The Old Colonial part of Cartegena...the bit that the 'Pirate' (Sir) Francis Drake didn't destroy...in fact its surrounded by a massive wall just to keep him out!!!

We've spent time wandering the streets taking in the atmosphere, but then yesterday decided to do something a bit more random! Took trip to 'Mud Volcano'....a large 15m mound of earth, that bubbles mud out the top (it's completely natural and has a vague smell of sulphar so definitely some sort of volcanic activity!!). We bathed in the mud while getting a full body massage and basking in the sunshine....you would pay big money to do this in a health Spa back home! It costs us about 6 pound each and included being washed down after, even having your feet scrubbed before they put your shoes back on for you!!!

Us two getting rubbed down.....releasing all the stress (what am I talking about! if we were any more relaxed we'd be cabbaged!)

Mud glorious Mud!!!

Spot the white man!!

Cool hair do!! Chris looking like an extra from Zulu!!
