Mexico!!

3rd Largest Metropolis in the World!









Arrived safely (just) into Mexico city at 8pm their time....absolutely knackered after being awake for over 20hrs! Thank god for having our Hostel pre-booked including airport transfer - Di I would definitely recommend Hostel Amigo only for that facility (plus its easy free phone number to call to be picked up)! Mexico City is a very scary place - especially when your being driven around by some crazed mexican with a death wish!!!! (whose idea of crossing a 4 way junction is to sound his horn rather than slow down - the other car screached to a halt just feet away from Chris in the front passenger seat! - nice!)

The flight was good - made full use of the free bar and made friends with Mexican girl (returning from 3 months traveling europe); she forced us to practise our Spanish and we were as rubbish as we thought! Everyone seems shocked that we our travelling around C and S america with very little Spanish!!

Dougal: the two bald, gay blokes with the funny handshake and matching scouts neck tie are staying at our hostel!!!!

P.S. the internet access is free here and we´ve been awake since 4am with jetlag hence the keeness of our first installment - no promises its going to continue this way!
